How frustrating is it to not be able to reach your teen when they are on the go? How many times have you tried calling your teen on their cell phone and they do not answer or it goes straight to voicemail? The ultimate excuse sorry mom my phone died. I am telling you if you are looking for a gift to get your teen this year. Get them a gift that will make both of you happy. Get them a cell phone charger. Cell phone chargers are also known as cell phone battery packs, these are also great for stocking stuffers. Teens are always on their phone. Snapchat, Instagram, Facebook, texting and surfing the internet.
Teens are always on the go and wherever they go their cell phone goes right along with them taking selfies, texting, SnapChat, Instagram, Facebook and more. Which can be good if they have battery life on their cell phone. In which some cases the cell phones run out of battery life.
I remember an incident when my daughter’s cell phone died. My daughter had gone to a concert and she had texted me to let me know the concert is over and I could come and pick her and her friend up now. We are about 10 minutes from where the concert was being held so it worked out perfectly. I drive to go get her and park. I text her to let her know I was there and what street she could find me. So I wait 15-20 minutes, no reply back. So I said let me give her a call, no answer. I tried calling her friend on her cell phone, no answer. I call them a couple of more times straight to voicemail. By this time in the midst of waiting I have circled the venue 5 times looking for my daughter and her friend. I decided I am going to go back to the spot I said for her to meet me because maybe she did get my text and is finally on her way. At this point I am fuming. Finally, I get a call from an unknown number. I answer it because it could be her calling from someone she knows phone. I say “hello”. There is a guy on the other end of my cell phone and he says, this is blank I can’t remember his name so I will say “Ken from Hartford Police Department we have your daughter.” At this point I am like WTF? As you can imagine my heart started beating 5x faster than it normally beats and I had several thoughts going through my head all at once and not good thoughts; that’s for sure. Then the officer says don’t worry we are located right outside the venue. He told me where I could locate them. It just so happens she asked the Police officer to call me because her phone had died and that she knew she would get in trouble if she couldn’t get in contact with me. Luckily the police officer was there and able to assist her but who knows what situation she would have been in. After this I decided I had to get her a back up cell phone charger also known as a cell phone battery pack to make sure this wouldn’t happen again. Do you remember as a teen we didn’t have a cell phone to rely on. We didn’t have to take pictures of a concert with our cell phones and upload to social media. If our parents were picking us up at a certain time and a certain place be there. Time has surely changed. Do you have a cell phone story when you were not able to get in touch with your teen and it scared the mess out of you? Comment below I want to know.
